If you are a poker player or have a poker game you absolutely need to play with 100% plastic cards. They last many times longer than the plastic coated paper cards and you can even wash them off when your buddies spill beer all over them.
I prefer using Copag Cards. They are easily the best value out there ($15.95 for 2 decks) but they are very high quality cards. Here is a picture of the one I am currently using:
When I first started playing blackjack with my friends we would just get out the old deck of cards and a bunch of pennies to keep track of the money. The game is much more fun though with an actual Blackjack layout, a Dealing Shoe and Discard Tray and Blackjack Chips.
